Robby Gordon heading to South America for the 2011 Dakar Rally. When is a Hummer, not just a Hummer? When it’s tricked out for racing by NASCAR driver Robby Gordon’s crew. foxcharlotte.com TV was at Robby’s garage and took a ride in one of the Hummers that Robby will be driving in the Dakar Rally road race South America after the holidays. The Dakar Rally will cover some of the roughest terrain in Argentina and Chile and requires physical toughness, excellent navigational skills and extreme endurance. In 2005 Robby became the first American to win a stage in the Dakar. In 2009 Team Dakar USA showed that they remain a serious threat in the Dakar and are one of the best off-road teams in the world.
